Moeder, Moder

The Fierce Advocate would like to post on the Eve of my day the plan for shocking behavior on Mother's Day. I will do my best to be the best mother I can possibly be.  I will astound, amaze and dazzle those in the household that I mother.

This will be a reverse day than is traditional. Hubby started this a number of years ago. We call it our "special day" behavior. Instead of hoping to be waited on, given amazing gifts and be respected as Queen Moeder that I am, I will be the true Biblical leader. Leader's serve, Mother's serve. I will choose to serve others on Mother's Day. 

By the way...... thanks Mom. You're the best. Caring, sharing and a true Moder.

Why "The Fierce Advocate"

   Last year a friend was quoted as calling me a "fierce advocate" and said that my "voice will be missed". I was in the newspaper last year for resigning from the School Committee 1 year early. There was an article about it and it was one of the reasons I waited so long to leave my elected position. 

   I've been in several newspapers recently. I think there will be more. I know there will be more. That is the role of a "Fierce Advocate". I will try to live up to the name. I am shy, BUT I am fierce.  When I advocate ...... I don't back down.  I've been doing this since I was just a bitty one. I have 1 particular older brother to credit for this determination to not give up. Even when the odds are against me.

   There is one area, one huge area in my life that I wish I could have been fierce about or wish someone could have been fierce for me. Honestly? I have not truly been fierce until this year. This is my breakout year.
  
  Soon, I will expand just a bit on why I've been "in the paper" and why there will be more. I like to speak in riddles, just ask my husband and kids. I don't like to be clear or obvious or give away too much. It would be easier if I would just communicate more clearly. BUT easy is not always the best.
